What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thank you very much Ron. The Rose Garden has now officially reduced from about 30 roses down to 7 . It is part of the plan to reduce the amount of work necessary to do every Spring and Fall . The area is now Tilled and Planted . I also moved one that we did not want to lose . A few years ago we started having Japanese Beetles and they were just getting most of the Buds and Blooms anyhow .
It used to be No Big Deal to go out and get Roses like this for Nancy . But that had changed . We did save some very nice fragrant ones though .

Harry

Ditto to what Ron said. Those look fantastic. I feel your pain about those Japanese beetles! On a still day, I can see them coming from across the road out front, flying straight toward my garden to eat the leaves off of my pole beans. And the only way to fight them is to grab them by hand because those baited traps actually draw MORE because of the pheramone scent they use!

Hey ~ I might try my old secret weapon against ground wasps on those beetles this year ~ take the shop vac out there and suck 'em up.

Heading out shortly for a week in the mountains, carrying a few Buck and Case pocketknives and will also have my truck knives - to be sure enough knives to handle whatever will present itself! I hope to catch some trout, hike to a waterfall or two, and enjoy cooking out, evening fires, and visits from our older children and their spouses. OH
