Got up at 11pm last night to get the smoke rolling at midnight. I’ll spend the weekend smoking about 65lbs of BBQ and a gallon of homemade sauce so I need a knife that can take a bit of abuse... but this old war horse 307 has had a life time of work already so it seems fitting it will work this last holiday weekend before retirement. A 1984 Remington Baby Bullet lockback, from JohnDF 's recent giveaway, with a wonderful leather sheath he made.

Rockport, Texas bore the brunt of Hurricane Harvey in August 2017. Haven't been there since. Heading over (about an hour's drive) this afternoon to spend a little money there. Maybe eat some fresh seafood.
