Thanks John! I’m happy to share the story again!I thought there was something odd going on there...
And now I see what was so odd about it... That is a super cool mod!
Thanks for sharing the story again, Ron.
Wow, that was a pretty emotional rabbit hole- never having known who BigBiscuit was, I ended up doing a whole bunch of reading. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a bit misty-eyed. Awesome story, great people, memorable knife. Thanks Ron- I'm glad you carry that knife!
+1 I like old fashion with outer rivet.I particularly like the pivot pins being a different metal. It's only a matter of time until all of typical polished bolsters show the pin lines- I say bite the bullet and make it a feature! Looks way more interesting than a little circle in a homogenous color of silvery/gray or brass.
Cannot argue about the weather, Tom.
Wow. I missed that originally, so thanks for the link, Ron.
Thanks John! I feel like he did approve! Thanks for sharing the story again, Ron.
The knife turned out perfectly and I'm sure your friend would have approved.
Thanks Dan! Bob was a good friend everyone here. Some of us were fortunate to have a more personal relationship with him.Wow, that was a pretty emotional rabbit hole- never having known who BigBiscuit was, I ended up doing a whole bunch of reading. Russell White certainly did make some beautiful knives my friend . I think , but do not know for sure , Russell made the 2 Eye Witness barlows that I have . Yours was obviously made by him when he was making his own brand and it is also outstanding . Thanks for showing it .A lovely folder I bought many years ago from Russell White. Sadly he's not well enough to make at the moment, and I know he was probably the reason for some of the best Taylors Eye Witness folders I have too
Was his birthday this week......many Happy Returns, Russell....!
