What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Carrying the peanut today. Funny thing is, I had to go into a courthouse in a very small town here in Kentucky this morning. I forgot I had this in my pocket. I put it in the basket to by-pass the metal detector and the officer almost let me take it in with me but finally decided I should take it back to the car. I guess the mighty peanut gets RESPECT!

Nice 112 Duane! I have one on my Christmas list to go with my 55. I have always had a Buck since I was a kid and would not feel complete with one in my collection.

A GREAT looking peanut clutchcarter! I have recently decided the peanut will be one of my 2 focuses for future collection and EDC. Just something about them that draws admiration.

Nice shot Stich, first thought that jumped into my head was, Wow, look at that pen blade on the Hayin' Helper!

If it was on a smaller knife it would be considered a spear, it's a pretty good size, about 3/4" smaller than the main blade.

Figured I'd give this Case/Bose Lockback Whittler a ride today.

It snowed quite a bit during the day. In the afternoon I went for a walk in the fresh powder, while there still was some light.

Today's carry is even glove friendly since the sheepsfoot blade can be pinched open.

The nice thing about winter: There's no soul in sight on the small trails.

That looks interesting, I like it. Some crazy thick stock for the main blade :eek:
How is the spring layout on this one? Is it tapered? Is the back part with the small blades split into two or three parts? (Do you happen to have a picture?)
Questions over questions ;)

Sturzi, They say a picture is worth a thousand words. I don't know that these are worth 6,000 words, but they might help. The main blade is 3/16" at it's thickest. The closed length is just shy of 4". There are 3 springs, one for the lockback and one each for the secondary blades.

I'm carrying around a minimalist knife today... This peanut that I won from Vince's give away. I was looking at all the give aways in the forum this last two months and reminiscing about the ones I've won in the past and those that were gifted to me by forum members here in the last couple years. We have a lot of trappers up for grabs this month GA's and I'm carrying this peanut as a tribute to those who have shared their knives with other forum members via the give away or pay it forward; what a wonderful group of folks we have Here!!

Added a fixed blade for this evening: Sean O'Hare finback in 672 layer (O1 and L6) damascus, ironwood handle and a Paul Long sheath with full quill ostrich inlay. Also, one of two bars of mokume gane (3 toned twist) that I had Mike Sakmar forge for me for a few custom projects that are brewing (Mike Craddock and Phillip Dobson).

This is normally in the front right pocket, all the time, nice small GEC folder, the Gepetto Whittler with clip point blade;

As you can see, from time to time I'll put a brush finish on the bolsters by carefully rubbing 2000 grit sand paper down each bolster, easy to do and easy to make them look nice quickly, the polished version showed scars too quickly :(
