Aias, I have an idea, if your interested reach out to me at my username @hotmail.comNo worries! And you can just call me Tony. You've inspired me to hunt one down!
Nice. That middle one looks well designed for keeping your knuckles off the cutting board.I finally got my hands on this Pallares Solsona slip joint. Love at first sight. The fit is very good, finish is a bit rustic which I like. It has the feel of a country gentleman's knife all over it, a user for sure but with the pleasant character of a peasant knife. Action is also very good, with a healthy amount of snap and with a half-stop.

While at it, I bought also these two kitchen knives by the same maker. The larger has a 15 cm blade with ebony handle.

Very nice Gary, love the detail on that knifeJust got this Fontinelle Pataud 5 Coqs (5 Roosters) off the Exchange. At 4.44" it's a good sized knife. The F&F and mechanics are just perfect.
Makes a great picnic knife!

I’m glad you bought this one because I’m was eyeing it myself! It is an elegant looking knife and FP seems to take great pride in their work. The Capuchadou I have is really well done.Just got this Fontinelle Pataud 5 Coqs (5 Roosters) off the Exchange. At 4.44" it's a good sized knife. The F&F and mechanics are just perfect.

I am a big fan of the Bose designed Case Collaboration Knives. However, it can be hard to find one without issues to be fixed. Case did a great job on this locking Lanny.
I like the jigging and well saturated bone dye especially. Case has always done exceptional jigging, but current production dye work can be poor.
Tony liked to see jigging extend all the way to the edges of the handle as far as possible. The last few photos show a jigged bone Saddlehorn he made for me. He explained that he shaped the handle before he did the jigging so the pattern would not be ground off during the finishing process.
I have noticed that most makers, even famous ones, just buy their jigged bone from someone like Culpepper. It comes in flat pieces. By the time it is hafted and finished most of the pattern is ground off. Tony would not accept that.
