What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Half hour or so after midnight and fresh into a brand new day ... Saturday WOooHOoo
And already EVERYTHING in this just taken picture is old OLD HA.
Some knives are too new, too expensive, too nice to use and some too old.
This old stag and steel I've decided will be a user. I enjoy it in the hand too much not to use.
As I slowly start to put an edge on this "letter opener". And once sharpened to fine edge,
I'll be on the look out for a sheath as an opportunity arises. Left handed of course.

That thing is way too sweet to not use it. You are going to enjoy that for the rest of your days.

That looks great Jon, Memorial Day is just around the corner, you are from this area so you know you gotta have pork steaks on Memorial Day! :D Is that Maull’s barbecue sauce? If you can’t get “the Maull’s” down there, let me know and I’ll send you some!:D:D:D
Todd
It was sweet baby rays because that’s what the BJs had. I might have to take you up on that offer

Sometimes you just NEED to have some pretty nice Stag in your hand and if you have to open letters to use it , then that is okay . That should open up some BIG envelopes .

Amir Fleschwund Amir Fleschwund looks great brother!

Pt-Luso Pt-Luso that 83 is fantastic! Love the shield, inlaid perfectly. Upcoming run of stag 83s probably won't have shields.

Got this knife free with the purchase of a S&W 38 Special wheelgun, you can see the logo lightly embossed. It became my "alert" knife, carried for many years in my 21M-LGM-25C-1 Technical Order leather bag while pulling alerts at Titan II ICBM silos in the 70s and 80s. Has lots of sentimental value, traveled many miles, resides on my computer desk. The plaque has lots of sentimental value too ... nukem till they glow ... 10 years of underground alerts beat most of the empathy out of me. Was it really so long ago? Doesn't seem like it. Putting it in my pocket today to celebrate the freedom of us both being fully vaccinated ... taking wife to lunch for fried catfish and shrimp tacos. Hope ya'll have a great day!

I'm not going anywhere today except the dog house. When I had Cataract surgery Thursday, the discharge instructions said "no vigorous activities" for three weeks. Well, it gonna blow a snow storm later today and tomorrow so I told the wife she'd have to do all the snow shoveling. She's not exactly thrilled. That's okay - I've been in the dog house before and am quite prepared. I've put together a box of some of my Case Sod Buster and Case Sod Buster Jr. knives to play with and food's not a problem as I have put together some essential supplies.

I'll put the yellow, lower right, next to the grape jelly, Sod Buster Jr. to use should I need one in hand.

Love your Tip of the Spear stories and momorabilia, Chief John.
I was just telling Mrs Fleschwund that I really missed the boat when you could buy dirt cheap, carried a lot-seldom fired M10 police trade ins. I did buy a M19-3 4” from a retired Chicago cop for $100, but always wanted a 10.

Man, Ed. I would expect your doghouse to have an aged can of Spam!

Thank you very much, Chief. For sure that the next run will not have shields.
As for your knife, I hope you will continue to walk many and many miles in your pocket, with very healthy for you and your wife.
