What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I see what you're talking about and don't see a problem. Some come with a pointier tip than others and it's not a problem for me. If you want the tip of the Case Sod Buster Jr. you have pictured alongside the Maserin to be as sharp as the Maserin, get out a rod or stone and rub, rub, rub, rub, rub.

Case Sod Buster Jr. blade tips and Case Sod Buster blade tips are a moot point for me.
Never said it was a problem or was I whining about anything. Just asked about blade tip taper, belly, pointy-ness comparison between the Sod Buster and Jr. Nothing to do with sharpness or dissatisfaction with the Sod Buster's at all. Guess I'll just have to buy a full size Sod Buster to answer my question :D ... Apparently I have no aversion to buying new knives either LOL

Excuse my whining... ;)
To me, it has nothing to do with blade sharpness or how pointy the tip is.
It has more to do with a Sodbusters point being too high and hidden behind the big belly of the blade... making it harder to get the tip into the cutting material.
I believe that's why people are mistaken when they ask if the large model has more of a point, rather they should ask if the large version has less belly.

Edit... See above pictures, the Maserin has less belly but the spine and tip are pretty much identical.

I have a big belly too and no one that counts that has seen my tip has ever complained. I guarantee you, if someone was poked by the tip of any of my Case Sod Buster Jr. knives or Case Sod Buster knives, even as they came from the box they would be an unhappy someone.

Happy Monday all. Going on a diet and trying to eat more fruit...so naturally I grabbed the fruit knife.

Began my diet journey last Monday myself. Good luck!

Haha... I see what you did there. 🤣

Great selection Jon, and a nice pun to boot! 😊👍
I’m glad a couple noticed 🤣 I’m sure it was a real knee slapper
No problem with that, and the 86 is particularly nice. Haven't seen many of the micarta version out in the wild.
Thanks. There are nicer 86’s out there for sure, but the micarta with the wrench shield is the perfect one for me.

Hahaha! 😂 Old "ladies knives", or "old lady's" knives?

I will point out, that pearl pen knives were also carried by some men. Watch fob knives or quill knives for office work, etc.
All the ladies loved the lady’s fancy pearl knife.
Modoc ED Modoc ED , I've only ever owned Sod Buster Jr's. That full size Sod Buster looks like the blade tip is more pointy than on the Jr.
Is it noticeably more pointy or have you profiled the blade to be more pointy? ... or maybe it's an optical illusion LOL.
The first Case Sodbuster I got was the original. When I got around to getting a jr, I was shocked at how small it felt. And yes, in profile, it is more rounded. But like Ed said, it still works.
By the way, my jr was won on the auction site for $5.00. I guess nobody wanted it because it had Al Gore 2000 on the scale along with his head.:D
Some 400 grit sandpaper erased ‘ol Albert.
