I really like that knife, and especially the sheath. The pouch style keeper tab is a great idea. I will have to start using that.

got my folder finished

I'm partial to dual finishes, and I *really* like the dual finish on this one.

What are the completed finishes on this? how do you keep your lines so clean, without washing them out? Especially at the bottom of the grind (right below your name)?

The first photos are of a couple knives I finished in the past months. You may have already seen them elsewhere on BF.

And this is one that is currently in process. Planning to end up with a fluted handle of Ringed Gidgee... but we'll see how that works out.

It's hard to see the profile there Erin, but is it a Persian style? Whatever it is, it sure looks good so far.

Shane... I don't think that I'd call it Persian... but I am hardly an expert of knife taxonomy. Honestly, I'm not sure what I'd call it.

I haven't posted for a while. This drop point is made from 1084 with myrtle wood. The myrtle has a surprising amount of movement.

get eh flats clean then grind the bevel (in this case 10inch hollow grind ) i liek gator belts for there even finish and no scottbrite fluff to mar the flats. i then mark the blade and re belt sand the flats. will not take much jsut cleanig up the mark and resettign the scratch patteren

Thinking to buy surface grinder, but I only have place for Proma 6x12 (manual machine, the same as tormach but without all automation)...
Should be ok for folder making and grinding off mill scale?

And all my designs going into Mark III version :)

Currently working on a small utility fixed blade. Finished it up at 400 grit. Steel is O1. Let me know what you guys think!

Looks very good. Clean and crisp work. Do you plan on adding a swedge or bevels on the top edge?

Spent some time in the shop last night. Trying to focus on plunges.

Any thoughts on what you would change? I seem to be getting a little washout @ the 90 (corner). Any feedback is appreciated.

One thing I'm happy with, is that this is a 10" hollow grind, and I had to walk the grind up the profile (since the knife is taller than a 10" wheel can give you on a hollow -- if that makes any sense).

it's not perfect, but I'm happy with the results for the first time on a taller knife.

Maybe check the edges of your platen/contact wheel? I had some problems with the edge of the platen and the belt. I just rounded the edges on both sides and it was solved.

Making now Hephaestus ( 2 available) and Manticore (6 availalbe) from Elmax HT for Primary hardness :)
Around 59HRC should be.

This is some leather work I got done recently for a very patient friend/customer.

The oversize damascus stud was forged so the pattern follows the shape...

Good to hear from you Nick. Your leather work is excellent. The knife is stunning as well. I was checking out your Instagram page for the first time and noticed some very nice daggers. How come we don't see those over here at BF?
