Some time ago I built the Eastern Woodlands Khukri and its wooden scabbard. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...nds-Khukri?highlight=eastern+woodlands+khukri
I was never quite satisfied with the scabbard however, and it just sat in my shop begging to be re-done.

Now, finally, I got the job done and I am now happy.

Before:

After:
The sheath is made with 6/7 oz veg tanned leather, fully leather lined, with a two-piece figured Yellow Birch inlay, hand made brass D-ring, and a moose antler stud.

Very impressive work Peter.

That's so cool Peter!

A cool new prototype! This is a Ed Fowler/Bob loveless combo knife that I'm working on. This is just the first Prototype to get my feet wet.(I have a better over head picture that I'll add.)

Love that Fowler / Loveless knife Daniel. Very impressive!

Wow Daniel! GREAT looking knives! Really loving that mini Carter in buckeye.
These are the first knives of the new year for me. :)

Once a year my shop is changed into a sausage making facility. This year we made less than usual (only about 300 lbs, vs 600+) as some couldn't attend. This photo was taken from my chair where I stuff the casings.

The following day we cleaned the shop and watched football. We had to fire up the redneck convection oven to warm up leftover sausage and doughnuts.

Beautiful hardening lines. What's your secret?
Thanks KD!
To get these very distinct hardening lines you need to carefully heat only the edge of the blade and full quench.(though because you only brought the edge up to critical only the heated portion will harden and the hardened steel is revealed through the etch)

Thanks Brock! I'm working at it!

Thanks Jason! You know I LOVE your stuff and those are top notch! Hope you have a good year!

It looks like an industrial-themed artistic tribute to the Moai of Rapa-Nui (Easter Island Heads)

Your imagination flies far higher than mine... and you are right :D
