HEAT!

My seventh knife is another Kephart design.

I learned a valuable lesson on this one.
I split the wood down the center before I drilled the holes for the handle. The front and rear cloth spacer I made didn't line up on top of the spine even though I thought I had it right before shaping the handle. Lesson learned!
The spacer lines up on the bottom of the knife, but the spacer doesn't line up on top at all. (Not shown because it's embarrassing)
This one will get lots of personal use since I can't give it to any family or friends.

I like the looks of this handle though.
It has ShadeTree Natural Micarta, 4 pieces of red cloth layered with epoxy, then 3 pieces of white cloth and 4 pieces of red cloth as the spacer, then dessert ironwood and red G-10 liners.

JoshRG - outstanding work! The way you combine your handle materials... so well done and original! Crispy grinds like nothing else too!

Here's a really big Titanium Kwaiken! This was tough to grind with lots of metal removal, I think it is about .27 thick with a deep hollow to convex grind and hollow Hartsfield inspired swedge.

Had a small piece left over and decided to make a small skinner out of it and tried my hand at free handing the grinds. Got a couple of blemishes, but it is from an old file I found in the wood line of my yard.

First Rhomboid Puukko.

Going good so far with testing this one.

Model 2 bolsters O1 by terrance stilwell, on Flickr
First bolsters, and they are floating bolsters at that.

A little stacked leather handled light weight hunter, with hardened O1 fittings. The leather is oiled up pretty good and then sealed with a polyacrylic sheen leather finishing stuff. It looked and felt great, going to have to make one of these for myself to keep. It was almost as light as the Rhomboid Puukko while being a bit more robust.

Here is a clip point from a DC template based off of a BK 17 that a Co worker wanted. 1084, copper, kingwood from Greenberg and yellow vulcanized fiber liners.
This was my first attempt at a coke bottle handle and I'm pretty pleased with how it came out.

I can go up to 62HRC.
But those knives are intended to hard use, that why I hardened them for 58HRC.

To get more from this steel I just ned to buy some Dry ice :P
( But I have in plan a 38l devar for LN )

I'm strangely drawn to this blade for some reasion.
