Fun in my shop building world!

Working on finishing up my GIB 2.0! I got both plattens (kind of a misnomer since the actual plattens dont come with them). I ordered a platten from ebay with pyroceram plates. The wheels can from oregon blade maker and i got 2 tool arms and a work rest from them too.

The multiplatten will probably have a 2 inch and 10 inch contact wheel on it. Still making some decisions on that.

Drive is a 1hp 180VDC motor and i picked up a KB drive for it. I got to motors for the grand total on nothing.

The steel is amazing! Tapping the holes is killing me. I am considering through drilling the flat platten attachment. Any thoughts on that?

Got a box in the mail today with belts in it. I went with Deerfoss ceramic in 36, 60, 120 and 220. 3M Trizacts in A16, A30 and A45.

I am getting ready to head back to school and so I have been at the bandsaw and belt sander for HOURS lately. But this is some of the fruit of my labors.

Looks like it was time well spent. They will make some great looking handles.

Nice looking stuff fellas! Trying to get a few more finished so I can get caught up! These are my Bird & Trout model in Aeb-l at 61. Stabilized curly maple and a hand rubbed finish.

This knife is for an old friend. Of AEB-L with Desert Ironwood and G10. His dad who passed 30 or so years ago made clocks of ironwood. This handle is made from his stock.

The 5000th post in this thread!
