Good job, guys! Love to see what you are making. Here is what I have been working on.

XHP core stainless damascus. Rocky Mountain Elk antler with paper micarta and mortise tang construction.

Working on a small batch of 17 right now. These are on a small four foot plastic table. I can then move them around to various places in the shop as needed. I do all my blade grinding and handle shaping outside so this table just trots along with the grinder work bench when I roll it outside. Looks like this table has seen a couple of knives glued up over the years.

Of the 17 these have bolsters and are done separately. Here the pins are drying.

Some ironwood and some elk:

Next day I trim off the excess handle material, sheep horn with liners here.

Here's the six without bolsters. While the pins were drying I took this six to this stage. They've gone through the grits from 60 to 120 to 220 all on belt. The corners of the handles were knocked off on a 60 grit spindle sander. The real dark rosewood and the two camel bone handles were also given a pretty good coat of superglue and allowed to dry overnight as they have open pores.

Now everybody is caught up. The handles have been belt sanded up to 330 grit and the tangs and spines have been finished up to 600 grit.

So they are ready for hand sanding. Sophie is not all that impressed she's seen it before:

Started the long awaited KMG second arm (for rests) mod. Nice thing will be the added 1.5" height too for my back. That's what I am hoping anyway.

Thanks again to all who have shared this mod.

Most excellent! Larry

Getting stock built for my third show this year. First week of December and my favorite show on the calendar. A few days fishing along the coast before the holiday crowds swarm in and then a hectic one day show.

Sitting here staring at this thing trying to figure out how to go about it lol. Lots of firsts for me.

I decided I wasn't getting anywhere staring at it so I just jumped in and did it. I can honestly say these are probably the cleanest grinds coming off my grinder. Not that that's saying much. Hand sanding now and I think it came out pretty good.
