Justin, I change the angle after setting the center of edge with steep bevels. Only when my actual bevels are near 3/4 done do I begin massaging their angle with high or low pressure. It's hard to make drastic angle changes with just that pressure and you should avoid trying to as in my case it usually leads to mistakes.

So how do you "walk" the bevel up John?

Daniel Rhode that handle shape is intriguing. Don't think I've seen much like it but I really like that

here some pictures of my last works.

By making incremental angle changes until the bevel height is where i want it and meeting the edge.

I actually dug a bit deeper and found this:

I think this is REALLY helpful. Kinda put everything into perspective for me. Change the angle and knock down the edge until you reach your height. Oh course everything sounds good in theory :)

Well here's what I have been busy with lately:

Three 15" Kukri"s. I kind of like them - opinions from you guys?

I kinda do it that way, I do the first 45° grind with a used belt. If you don't then you can strip grit off a fresh new belt. Then I just put pressure where I want the grind to go. If I want to rase the grind line I put more pressure on the spine. It's hard to describe as its a feeling, you kinda see with your hands. You see in your minds eye what the grind is doing by feeling the grind and applying pressure where needed to control where it's grinding.

So I wish this was MY shop, but it's my work's shop. Either way I thought some of you would appreciate it.

Take a Bridgeport that looks like this:

6 weeks and $8,000 later you get a big plywood box back with this in it:

Oh I can't wait to drill some holes in the table.:D

Very nice dagger.

im fighting with keeping a dagger true and even. but that BP rebuild OMG i dont have the $ for it but would love to send my old school 32" in for a trueing up even if it didnt get a total makeover (how did the work?)

Took it up to 120gr on the crapsman. Hand sanded 120 and 220 gr. Gonna stop here before I send it off to HT.

The holes in drilled suck because I was using a cordless drill. Definitely NOT fun. Can't wait to get a drill press. I have 2 more bars of AEBL left so hopefully I can turn out something nice

First contribution to this thread and thought I'd share the Small wheel Rack I just completed and mounted to my grinder bench.

Great job on the rack! I just ordered me a small wheel setup and might have to borrow your idea.
