Sandpaper and elbow grease are your hand sanding machine.
The tang looks narrow.
How are you going to shape the end of the handle?

Almost done. The Pyinma burl soaked up 15 coats of TruOil and the Redwood Burl is up to about 7.
In the gunworld, they say the finish should be in the wood, not on it.

Once these last coats harden up I’ll sand the top coats down to the surface of the wood and then a little cloth wheel and wax

I start to work on my first folder knife two years ago . . . . Time to finish it , so far so good ,need to install bolster on other side and make scale . Blade is HSS /plan is to grind convex bevels/, liners are hardened stainless ....It works , would you believe that  Spring/lock/ make contact with blade in entire length/red line/ , that is not/good right ?

Thanks! I finished it while back and have been wanting to post the pictures but am trying to learn how to do it from my iPhone. I can’t find how to change the link code on the imgur app. I’ve only had a smart phone for about 3 months; I’ve a lot to learn.

Last couple of custom jobbers I did recently. And one I was able to squeeze in during heat treats and long annealing sessions. Blades include D2 core, CTS-204P core, and 1095 core. All Suminagashi San-Mai from Dion Damascus. Have yet to work with his M4. Lovin the results.

Thos are awesome. I just checked out the website and it looks great but there are only a couple of pieces. Do you need to special order or does he bring in new batches?

Here's a new to me design, I call them fangers cause I like to make up words. It's 5160, padauk and brass that really goes well with the deep red wood. It's about 10" OAL and I've got a couple of larger ones as well.
