Just got a 10 inch contact wheel from Reeder (Outstanding quality and service!). After practicing on a piece of mild steel, decided to give it a go on a .210 thick piece of 3V to add to the next batch heading to Peters'. I'll be working my way through thinner stock as well, using what I'm learning to make Full hollows on stock at 3/16 and .150 steel.

This is my first hollow grind, and so far I am really liking hollow grinding! This is straight off the grinder at a rough 36 grit. Still need to taper the tang, then finish the grind to a full height and run through the grits.

Full tang drop point hunter.

Tang tapered, spine rounded, thumb serrations cut at 20 lpi, blade ground on the wheel to 400 grit (would have gone to 600, but my brand new 600 grit belt snapped a seam!) and hand sanded to 800 grit. Found the best method for me is....cheap pink pencil erasers! pre HT edge is .015. Blade stock is .205 at the spine.

These ones are wierd, i cant remember what they are supposed to be. But they have a soft backing that feels like felt or something.

Also some vintage micarta, and a big block to make a couple wa handles with. Also a bushing to use in a slipjoint.

I'll happily admit that I hate lettering, especially in titanium😂 Shout-out to Microstamp Corp. for giving me an easy way to unobtrusively roll my name into most engraveable materials. The crazy part to me is, this is the BIG Tracemark at 0.5mm height...they also make a 0.35mm!🤯

Id like to play with it too.... I've never Used k390, but I sharpened it once.
Dullest knife I ever saw.
It took me DAYS to sharpen.... Ugh!
I'm betting it holds its edge forever
Bonded diamond helps cut down sharpening time a lot.

With those its like sharpening normal steel.

Gonna be my first time making something with it. But ive used 10v a decent ammount now

I bought an Atoma because of it....... Still, took Forever. Haha.
Id like to make a fixed blade out of it, but it's kinda pricey.
