Two pettys. Laminated steel

The stars must be aligned. It’s a beautiful November day in central Ohio and I’m out back grinding blades. These two are probably my most consistent rough grinds I’ve ever done. Now I know they pale in comparison to a lot of others work, but I’m excited so needed to share.
Steel - 80 CRV2. 4” Hunter
Free hand grind on 2x42 single speed(cheap)
First blades that I did not use push stick while grinding bevel. Why it took so long, don’t know, but won’t be using it again, except when rough shaping blade after cutting stock.
Suggestions/comments always welcome.

Oh snap the more pillow dust that builds up around the grinder the more current gets zapped through my fingers!

Shop vac!!!!

did you put wax on the parts where you don't want the epoxy?

Don’t use epoxy. Or wax. Gorilla Glue white. I cut off the squeeze out with my trusty putty knife, one of the most used and versatile tools in my shop.

This one’s next. And that’s the toothpick I used to dig the glue out of the file work. It is a MagnaCut toothpick, from a knife project that changed designs after the blank was already in the shop and heat treated.

That fireworks looks great! Try using some epoxy die to color the epoxy and then you don't need to worry about picking glue out.
