Would you call this blade a spey?
It is 3 5/32" closed, 9/32"thick and weight less then 1 ounce. I'm not a CF-person but I do like how light plays with the material and it weighs next to nothing!
Looking forewards to having this one finished and in my pocket.

New glass! JB weld just seems so messy. We’ll see how the VHB tape holds up. The only .05” stuff I had on hand was 1” wide, so it’s doubled up. I imagine 2” tape would have been even easier.

Been running that same set-up for two+ years using 3M tape without issues. My tape was only 1/2” wide so have four pieces. No problem at all. Some use carpet tape

Great to hear. :)

I know that CRK uses it as a permanent adhesive for their inlays too.

I'm using the 3M 5925 because it's what I had on hand, but it looks like the 5906/5907/5908/5909 line would have a little better shear strength (which I imagine would be ideal for the application), and is also quite a bit thinner. The 5925 has nearly double the 90 degree adhesion strength though.

To spacer or not to spacer. Ultimately a subjective decision. Both are valid in my opinion. Handle looks classic.

ok, well I guess there's a tiny bit of sanding to go on a couple of handles- turns out a lack of symmetry when it comes to handles drives me a little crazy. Blades were cleaned up today and I've started cutting leather. I think I'll get all the sheaths to the wet molding stage before I get back to the knives- I'll grind in the edge bevels when the sheaths are drying and save the final hand sharpening until the sheaths are done.

This is pretty much 95% how they all are going to look in the end. Well, minus the filter, lol.
