The blade on the far left, I did a test, forge hardening, quenched in water. Heat treated from a pearlite condition.

Chef's utility knife straight out of the tempering oven and off the grinder. I'm still pretty new to knife making, and I think this is my 12th knife overall, and my 3rd heat treating myself using a HotShot oven. I've been determined to free grind my bevels, even though I built a really nice bevel jig. These are by far the cleanest and thinnest bevels I've been able to achieve. For the finish I used all four Scotchbrite grits. 1084 and waiting on some Micarta for the scales

Yup!! I am doing some cleaning/shop re arranging, making fixtures, etc to avoid the frozen slurry bucket!
 
Cold weather grinding gotta love it.
A few years ago I told myself to do all the forging and handsanding during winter, and the grinding during summer. Never was able to stick to that idea sadly, as it seems that each year after that the opposite comes true in the end, for some reason 😅
