What's that you're eating?

For New Year's Day Dinner: 2 steamed Dungeness Crabs that I served, as I usually, do with corn-on-the-cob, sourdough bread & a grated ginger & salt in oil dip.

My wife wanted some white bean and kale soup to "cleanse" after eating rich for the last 10 days. Not sure how cleansing it was since it called for a a bunch of cream and parmesan. Regardless, I needed a bit more, so naturally I roasted a rack of pork ribs in the oven. T'was a fair compromise, especially since the rack was on a ridiculous sale.

The soup wasn't bad, but I'd hold off on the cream were I to make it again.

And I've been hitting a lucky streak at my local grocery store! These certainly don't help after a glass....or two. It's easier to convince myself another piece of pie is okay!
