What's that you're eating?

It was Restaurant Week in the DMV the week before last, and I lunched at three different restaurants offering a three course meal at a fixed price of $25.

First up was a highly rated Italian restaurant called Osteria Morini.

Caesar Salad (😋 😋😋), Spaghetti 🍝 Pomodoro (😋😋), Deconstructed Butterscotch Bread Pudding (that's not what they called it, but that's what it was) (😋😋😋😋).

Next up was a restaurant specializing in southern cuisine: Ruth's All-Day.

Cornbread, BBQ Brisket Sammich & Fries, and Butterscotch Pudding. All pretty meh.

Cornbread was dry, brisket too fatty and little smoke flavor. Butterscotch pudding was weird. It was a layer of butterscotch (which was good) on top of something that was pretty much flavorless and which I wouldn't call pudding.

When the fries are the best thing, that's not good.

Dang that looks tasty. I’m amazed at how many different interpretations there are for Chile Relleno. Everyone seems to do it different.
And I love them but never order them at restaurants because I can’t seem to say it correctly. I know what it should sound like but my mouth/tongue just can’t get it right.

I'm not going to lie. As I scrolled down, I expected the third course to have parmesan on it.
