What's that you're eating?

Made a batch of rosemary salt last night from a recipe that I got off of youtube. HIGHLY recommend this stuff. The smell alone is intoxicating.
Had the wife pick up some prime choice ribeyes this evening and tried it out on the steaks along with a little freshly ground black pepper and garlic powder. Grilled them up using reverse sear method and they came out terrific. I’ll be keeping this stuff on hand at all times. Pics are pretty crappy though. Sorry but was in a rush.

Bought a 5# bag of wings for $19 to make my own because I was offended by the idea of paying $2 each for them at my local pub.

There were 35 wings in the bag; 54 cents each. Not 25 cents each but far better than $2/@ IMO.

Making them today w/a gochujang, chilli & honey sauce Pics to follow.

Ok, here are some pics of the wings that I made. Frankly, they're better than any wings I ever bought for more elsewhere.

Brined the wings overnight in a 50/50 solution of sugar/salt, battered them in a 50/50 mix of corn starch & flour, fried them in 350 degree oil til done, basted them in a gochujang, garlic/chilli & honey sauce and topped them w/toasted sesame seeds & diagonally sliced scallions. Yum!!!

I made 12 and ate 8 of them. Still have another 20+ to cook. :)

No other pics but other great meals were Cleaver steakhouse and Wicked Spoon brunch buffet.

“Bottle Service” at a Tropicana show was one of the most ghetto fabulous things I’ve done in a while.

Went out last night to one of our local spots. One of those hotel restaurants that’s just a little weird, but never crowded. We do breakfasts and lunches there every few months but never tried dinner. We may have gone overboard on the appetizers.

I’m not a huge oyster fan myself but the wife loves them. The fries had some duck confit under the cheese that was surprisingly well-rendered and tasty, I honestly thought it was turkey. Dinner special was American Wagyu.

Panko onion rings?

They look delicious!!

There's a place here that fresh cuts the onions and batters them in beer batter fit every order

They are fantastic clean bite everytime through batter and onion !

No pulling the onion through or batter falling off
