What's that you're eating?

This is my main meal now that Lent is over and I can toss the kettlebells around to my heart's content. I keep thinking I need cheese with it, and then it would be stuffed peppers without the peppers haha. And since my only cooking appliance is a hot plate, I guess that will have to do!

The "dungeness crab season" (what little there was of it in the SFBA) just ended recently in CA.

Drove over to my local Asian market yesterday to see if they still had any left in the tanks and they did. So, I bought 2 that I cooked last night. :)

I've previously posted photos of my crab feasts. So, here are just a couple of pics after they were steamed and ready to eat.

BTDT a few times when I've been out there on extended travel for work. When crab fishing the pier one year (my first time), we learned the hard way that you can't put the Dungeness crabs in the same cooler with the rock crabs! 😖 🤦‍♂️ Of course, we learned that when the game warden opened up the cooler when checking our licenses, and the only 2 Dungeness we had were almost gone... we got scolded, but thankfully that was all. Dumb "tourists"! 🤣

Really tried to like Dungeness crab both times that I lived in Kali. I guess I have just eaten too much sweet Maryland blue crab, but Dungeness crab never made it for me. DSFDF.

I like 'em both.

Lived in DC for 7 years and bought/cooked blue crabs by the bushel but they're a lot of work to eat. Kinda like crayfish in that way.

Also visited some crab shacks on the eastern shore by boat w/my sister and her husband. A lot of fun!

But Dungeness are still my favorite. :)
