Some of you guys must be in MUUUUUUUUUUUCH better financial positions than I ever would LIKE to be in........
2-3k on a knife? And don't get me wrong..... I know how it is, I'm a musician and honestly, sometimes the $4,000 Les paul truly sounds and feels incredible..... But lets be honest, What makes a $2,000 knife that much better than say a GOOD $500.00 knife? Visual joy? Again, not trying to insult just trying to understand where the extra value comes in.
Same reason could be said about almost anything. Some people spend $2,000 on pens. It's usually the exclusiveness, pride of ownership, and sometimes it can be allocated as an investment, because you can usually sell them for the same amount or higher than you bought them for.
