whats the most you ever paid for a knife?

I've paid over $1000 twice, but doubt I'll do it again. I've cut way back on the knives I buy in general. I've sold more than I've bought over the last two years.

The most I've spent so far is this custom Marifone ($2.2k):

But the most valuable knife I own is this Fisk bowie (scored for $2k):

Dull photos, I know

The most I ever paid was $550 for a lottery XM-24 at the NYCKS last year.

My most valuable knife is a Fellhoelter FLG.

$2000 for this Kyle Royer. Only one other knife over a thousand, but a few in the $500-800 range.

I won't let myself spend over $100 on a knife, the closest I've come is my ZT0350 at $99.83. My $100 ceiling will change when the ZT0566 comes out though, unless I can find one for under $100.

About $700 many years ago for a Busse Battle Mistress. Those were the good ol' days. I now choke on anything more than $100.

$174.25 for a BM 51 My BM 940 was $170 though. I have no doubt I'll go past $200 this year on a production folder, and later this year if I reach my personal goal I'll have a Large Sebenza in my collection.

$120 for a Fallkniven F1, since then ive settled to paying no more than $80 for a knife.

$220 and It wasn't even for me.

Ti Millie for my best friend simply because "He wanted one".

At the moment $1,500, but might spend 2K in a week depending on how this deal goes!

Some of you guys must be in MUUUUUUUUUUUCH better financial positions than I ever would LIKE to be in........

2-3k on a knife? And don't get me wrong..... I know how it is, I'm a musician and honestly, sometimes the $4,000 Les paul truly sounds and feels incredible..... But lets be honest, What makes a $2,000 knife that much better than say a GOOD $500.00 knife? Visual joy? Again, not trying to insult just trying to understand where the extra value comes in.
