whats the most you ever paid for a knife?

$1300, more than once. One was for a MS folder by Bailey Bradshaw, and was worth every penny. The other was arguably one the the most beautiful functional pocket knives I have ever seen made by Joel Chamblin. Again, it was worth every penny.

2000$ for this:

Blade: 4 steel Rattler pattern by Brad Vice
Bolsters: Turkish damascus by Jerry Rados
Thumbstud: Sapphire
Liners: Heat colored Ti
Scales: Mammoth Ivory

Sayoc Winkler Thomahawk from Winkler Knives II.
It’s not a knife, but it’s the most that I’ve paid for and edged weapon, worth every penny if you ask me.
$600+ Whit the Military discount.

Damn . . . and this knife does serve you breakfast & makes the bed every morning too, right ? ? ? :)
Be safe.
p.s.: Damn, $15,500.00 ??! Not a typo ???

For $15,000 it better do one heck of a lot more that I can tell you....

I think a better question is how much have you paid for a knife that you actually use. Some knives would be better described as art pieces and should be treated as such. I've been requesting anyone to post pictures of their +$1,000 knife showing blade use, but no takers yet.

$345 for my Sebenza 21 but will top that when I get my Demko.:D I can't wait!

Andrew's work is top shelf. Whatever you are waiting on will be perfect. My Demko ran me $680 and was totally worth it.

My wife let me buy my own Christmas present one year - About $800 for a William Henry. It does get carried in tame conditions.

Seems like a pretty insignificant sum compared to most of the posts in this thread, but the most expensive knife I ever bought was around 180$.

my EDC is a 750$ folder...no real hard use though.

Just because they are users doesn't have to mean they will show lots of wear.

I just got the large Damascus Sebenza I paid $640 for. I'm carrying it, and I plan to continue to do so (at least off and on) until I get a small to go with it.

$600.00 for my Gen III 3.5" XM-18 flipper with smooth carbon fiber scales.

$583 for a Randall Model 1 with an 8" stainless blade, micarta handle, and a nickle hilt and buttcap. Also $850 on a custom Jody Samsom dagger, and if it counts, $3500 on an Albion sword.
