I've gotten some extremely sharp knives in the past, which would tree-top hairs, but the sharpest knife I can recollect was a Microtech Option II that I purchased 12 years ago. It was literally shaving sharp. Nothing I've seen before, or since could match it.
I soon sold it to an old friend, who I hadn't seen in 14-15 years, who had become a Policeman. I gave him a great big discount, and was glad to see the smile on his face.
FYI, this is the gentleman, who, when I was just a wee lad (less than 10 years old), introduced me to the quality that is "Bali-Song" from back in the Pacific Cutlery days. He also taught me how to open and close a Butterfly knife.
Sorry for wandering. Thinking about that knife just brought back some great memories. I guess I'm getting old, in that everything reminds me of a story.
A Cold Steel SRK way back in 1991 or so. It had a polished mirror edge that cut me so bad. I've never seen one since with a factory polished edge like that.
