What's your newest Buck knife

This I consider in the top 10 out of all my 112's. . It's one of 5 total Bucks David Yellowhorse made of Lapis from Afganistan. I really love the bolsters showing the mountains of Afghanistan where the Lapis was found. My brother David arranged for 3 110's and 2 112's to be made. One 112 went to a Army nurse and one of the 110's to the Army vet who brought the Lapis back to the USA. This 112 was in Cindy's Dad and Lad 110/112 collection but when Cindy switched to collecting 532's it came to me. It's more subdued than most of David Yellowhorse 112's but when you look at this in the sunshine it sparkles..20221108_095432.jpg

Just arrived a few minutes ago, three days ahead of schedule. :D
It looks and feels exactly as I remember from the first time I got to play with one. It just flies open right out of the box, unlike my Sprint Pro that needed a bit of breaking in. Not a bad thing, I actually like it. Everything is nice and tight and solid feeling, and oooh it just feels nice. This is definitely one of those love-at-first-sight knives.

And the latest just arrived - a Rosewood 303. What a very cool little knife. Too easy to lose cos it’s so small, so this one is gonna take up the #1 TV table spot. But I love the fit and finish, the brass with rosewood, and the action is just perfect … so now I think I might have to go looking for a bigger brother to carry around outside the house.

This just arrived today, Model 346.
Used my 486, to open the packaging.
(I think I read somewhere that's an unwritten rule you must use a Buck to open a Buck)
Heavier than I anticipated, but not in a negative way.
Rock solid lockup, and excellent fit and finish.
Things like this prove Santa isn't real!
If he was, and lives at the North Pole and makes all the toys with his Elf mates, then why are all my toys made in Idaho?

My absolute favorite knife. Everything about it still calls to me. I’ve also got the 842 Sprint Ops Pro in blue & black that’s taken a close second, but this one is still the total package for me. That blade is just begging to be stuck into something.
Yes, I am impressed and didn't expect that to happen. Old dogs CAN learn new tricks!

When I first saw the pics of it, I said that’s a really nice knife that I’d really like to have in my modest little collection. The specs made it well worth the price (to me, anyway). When I actually got it, I instantly fell in love with it, and it’s now my regular carry when I go anywhere. I may or mar not throw a SAK in my pocket to go with it, if I think I might need a tool. But even if I’m not going anywhere, I still randomly flip it open just to look at it … and because they absolutely nailed the action on it. For me it’s about the perfect EDC.

I have too many "just right" or "almost perfect" knives to choose from 🤣 But this 841 Sprint Pro is now one of them. I grew up with Buck knives, with my first in the early 70's, but switched to knives with pocket clips in the early 90's after losing my childhood 110 during a move. The 841 is so good, and I think the best looking of their modern knives, that I'm not sure I need another model of Buck unless it's the micarta version to add to this 🙃

I do like to try a lot of different knives on a regular basis, and I like to fidget with them or look at them, but some I do actually also carry fairly often. I will probably carry this 841 Sprint Pro in rotation now that I have it. I have several other knives that I have built a habit of carrying in my front pocket for "clean use" knife (i.e. touches things that may touch my mouth).

That's often a CRK Inkosi, XM-18, Para 3, PM2, Benchmade Griptilian, Mini Grip or CLA, or J Lloyd Mammoth Barlow. This front pocket knife is usually the one I rotate out the most, and there are many more that I have an itch to try out for a few days here and there, from folders, to autos, and traditional knives. I just started trying out a David Mary LC200N fixed blade up front, rotating out with a Tops fixed blade, depending on my needs for the day. I can absolutely see myself using the 841 for this.

But I always have some kind of SAK on me somewhere, and for the past few months I've also had an auto like Benchmade Shootout (or Recon 035 or Ultratech) in my back pocket for hard and "dirty work". Despite it's hard use, I've only just now needed to sharpen the Shootout Cruwear blade 2 days ago, for the 1st time after 6 months of almost daily carry and use (I flattened the tip as well, oops).

blood was spilled over this photo. Finally purchased a Bass Sports, Alaskan Guide Series 110. verified sharp from factory. also, I now know I have no alien parasite. i should have shown the blood for effect.

edit: someone said if there are no pictures, it didn't happen. here you go.

Mail has been running late here lately. This arrived at 7:16pm which was about 30 minutes ago. Knife is still cold from the 40 degree temps outdoors. Had to wipe a tiny amount of gunk off the handles but I'm very satisfied. Delighted even.

Buck 55 customized by Navajo artist David Yellowhorse.
