Wheeler Fighting Bowie Project :) ( UPDATED CUTTING & FORGING VIDEOS)

Salt pots and Shake-n-Bake. Awesome combo.

Nice process video, and great explanations, bro. You've obviously been working your tail off on these blades if you've gotten them this far, this quickly.

Mike- You nailed it buddy! :D

Matt- Thanks my friend. :) I would have had them all done by now if I wouldn't of had that nasty monkey on my back this year. :foot:

Joe- Yes... yes I am. I think that's why they call me Chef Boy-R-U-Dumb... ;) :D

Here's another video... It should have come before the last one, but it just didn't work out that way.

Thanks guys! :)

Thanks for doing this, Nick.

Great build vids, love seeing the different processes.
Know a little about water/moisture on the steel during HT.
Worked at a zinc galvanizing plant once, galvanizing guardrails, steel sign posts, etc.
The material being galvanized were all given a final wipedown after coming from the pickler (acid dip and cleaning).
Didn't dare dip a non-dry part into the molten zinc tank, hot flying zinc isn't any fun at all.

So looking forward to seeing the finished project, thanks again.

Truly astounding work

These should have cost twice as much :)

The work you are doing on these videos and the time spent is just an incredible gift to all that love the craft that you have mastered

Thank you my friend

You better have bought your plane ticket for Atlanta you need some R & R :)

Nick excellent work I/we really appreciate you taking the time to share your work. Such dedication shows why you are as good as you are.

Hey Nick, don't real smiths grind freehand?

:foot: :D

Ducks and runs before Joe uses me for a test cut.

Great videos Nick. The framing looks good to me. A well framed video/picture is like seeing crisp plunges on a knife. It's the first thing I notice. I want to thank you for all the time you put into these videos. I learn a lot from them.

DamnifIknow... ;) LOL

Mostly checking the scratch pattern to make sure my angles are correct before bearing down.

Also making sure I know right where to apply the pressure--- more at the edge? more near the spine? heavier near the tip? etc.... It's kind of making a final inspection and approval on the plan for that individual pass before actually doing it.

Hey guys- :)

Here's another Big Dog Forge Video Productions piece... ;)

I will not offer apologies for my wordiness in this one... :foot: Sometimes, you need to know the reasoning behind the methods/madness. ;) :D

Thanks folks! :)
