Sherriff Andy Griffith's office phone (the one Barney is talking on) did not have "rotary dial", they went through the operator to make outgoing calls.

Oh no offense taken at all, I had meant "I resemble that remark!" to be taken more tongue-in-cheek, I'm pretty aware of what you can't do with a Tormach. Probably should have used this! With an r8 taper and 1.5hp it will need to go even slower than usual at lighter passes. I wonder which tormach he has, some of them are like .75hp. We're talking weed eaters have more power. For doing small batch light material removal it's perfectly fine. Nothing wrong with it. Don't mean to crap on your parade my friend.
They are spendy that's for sure. But for holding tolerances and part surface finishes they excel. Crashing them gets expensiveOh no offense taken at all, I had meant "I resemble that remark!" to be taken more tongue-in-cheek, I'm pretty aware of what you can't do with a Tormach. Too bad. I don't see Japan, Hong Kong,Finland,Italy,Mexioco,Europe and Canada on the list but yes, China would be the lowest cost OEM source and that would maximize profits. I don't have any Hoback knives, but if I bought one at those prices and my belief that it was "Made in USA" was a part of my purchase decision, I would be quite angry. Pride of Ownership is part of our purchase decisions. He just posted this
