When it's not exactly Made in the USA - Hoback

Too bad. I don't see Japan, Hong Kong,Finland,Italy,Mexioco,Europe and Canada on the list but yes, China would be the lowest cost OEM source and that would maximize profits. I don't have any Hoback knives, but if I bought one at those prices and my belief that it was "Made in USA" was a part of my purchase decision, I would be quite angry. Pride of Ownership is part of our purchase decisions.
That said, I think that the full COO disclosure Hoback Knives has now posted is a sincere effort to mitigate the damage created. Buyers can now make an educated choice.
Hope everyone can move on.
He deleted it and he deleted his apology.

Haha not likely, given that he's now deleted everything related to this whole fiasco!

I just... wow.

Without reviewing it again to code each post, I'm counting one seriously diminished diminished knife operation, three retail shops shat upon, two /ignored users, and approximately 56 pages of some of the most tone-deaf nonsense I've seen since the OJ trial. All in two days.

You folks got game.
And a partridge in a pear tree?

He’s good at one thing, showing us how not to handle a difficult situation. He posts, then he deletes everything and removes commenting from all previous posts. Like come on man, you’re going to get taken to the woodshed. Might as well leave it all up and take it. It’s completely mind boggling. He looks slimier by the minute.

His mouthpiece must've convinced him it was all smooth sailing from here on out after testing the waters. 🤣

Other knife pages on IG are already making memes clowning the guy. Poor Jake!! 🤣🤣

I almost feel sorry for him. I don't think this is survivable unless he has really deep pockets. His dealers will probably seek compensation for the diminished value of his product. Monday will probably suck for Mr. Hoback

I don't feel bad at all. I paid 260 dollar for a knife I would not have bought, had I known hoback actually didn't even make. Some dude in China did. Screw that dude, all the money he's made from guys thinking they were supporting an honest guy making knives in his shop should go to the dealers holding his tainted knives. They should sue him into oblivion. The scripture on every knife is so hypocritical, it's unbelievable.
