When it's not exactly Made in the USA - Hoback

How they hell are we supposed to have any actual discourse with a liar? This goes nowhere because the liars are intentionally refusing to admit they are wrong. They offer nothing to the community here with their disingenuous selves. It's ridiculous.

All these people talking about Hoback ā€œbreaking the lawā€, nobody calling the cops. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø
Being as this all literally just came to light, how do you know who is contacting who? You don't. Monday morning there's probably a litany of complaints to be filed with the ftc. Who knows what will shake loose from that. šŸ™‚

I get why para is here, he will fight to the death over damn near anything and walk away with a smile, but why is 3D fighting so hard?

3D Anvil 3D Anvil why do you feel the need to defend this person with so much energy? Do you feel that they did nothing wrong? Do you truly believe that they are the victim of lying dealers trying to shift the blame? Why did you feel compelled to tell everyone else (except for the resident troll) they are wrong, even though there are now more than 60 pages of people making more fun of you than of Hoback?

I'm not defending Hoback. I agree with him when he says he should have worked harder to make sure that dealers weren't misrepresenting the COA of his knives. But I can't hold the dealers blameless when THEY and not Hoback claimed that the knives were made in the USA.

This guy blaming all of China Jake's woes on the dealers for the last 60 pages, and then he posts this. LMAOOOOO

And they failed to ASK, and then represented that the knives were made in the USA anyway. Duh

I know this because Hoback said so and none of the dealers have so far contradicted him.

You don't know if they asked. You don't know anything more than what's written in this thread and what has been posted by Hoback.

You're making assumptions, and your assumptions don't seem to take into account that Hoback hasn't shown himself to know anymore about truth or integrity than Kenny does.

What about hoback never posting the truth on social media? Why didn't he do that? 5 years on dlt trading, he was silent.

Really? Changing the specs to say "China" or "Origin unknown" hasn't been a reaction showing that they're reacting to new information?

So dumb.
Yes, so dumb. The changes they've made recently have nothing to do with whether or not Hoback ever told them that the knives were USA made. In fact the guy from USA Made Blades admitted that Hoback did NOT tell him the knives were USA made. He said he ASSUMED they were based upon things he heard on podcasts and on Youtube.

I mean, if your whole business is premised on selling USA made goods, don't you think you have some responsibility to at least ASK your vendors if their knives are made in the USA? So dumb.

More blaming the dealer. Why weren't his knives labeled China like the law says they needed to be labeled?

No, I'm not making assumptions, because several dealers have posted in this thread and none of them claim that Hoback told him the knives were made in the US.

Oh look, yet another post where there's zero mention of the fact that Jake allowed dealers to say his knives were American made for several years, so he could sell Chinese factory made knives at American custom knife prices.
