When it's not exactly Made in the USA - Hoback

Oh look, yet another post where there's zero mention of the fact that Jake allowed dealers to say his knives were American made for several years, so he could sell Chinese factory made knives at American custom knife prices.
Oh, he ALLOWED them to say.... Like he's their frickin' father and they need his permission to write ad copy. LOL

What is Jake most worried about?
1. Feeding his family.
2. Paying for his new shop.
3. Going to hell.

Here is my horse in the race. I probably would not have purchased this if I knew it was solely imported from China. I do accept some blame as well.

You're making assumptions, and your assumptions don't seem to take into account that Hoback hasn't shown himself to know anymore about truth or integrity than Kenny does.
Interesting take. “Everyone that argues with me about Hoback is of the same character as Hoback”. That probably works really well on the playground in 2nd grade but maybe we can rise above your petty personal issues with me and.. now hear me out on this crazy concept: “stick to the topic”

No, I'm not making assumptions, because several dealers have posted in this thread and none of them claim that Hoback told him the knives were made in the US.

Three. Three dealers posted here. 3 out of 28.

Do you think making an assumption about all the dealers after knowing 11 percent of the info is a good idea?

Edit: whitty is USA made blades. So it's two.

Do you think the manufacturers are checking all the big dealers' listings to make sure they don't contain any errors? ;)

Were I a manufacturer on his scale I certainly would be. Likewise, when I earlier answered the question below with a simple "Yes"...
What’s the logic here, that because Hoback asked USAmadeblade to sell their knives that it’s the equivalent of lying?

I, and I believe everyone else in this thread, are just holding him to the standards that we would hold ourselves to were we in his shoes. This is not a criminal trial where we need burden of proof, nor is this a witch hunt. The way I see it, this is simply a community of enthusiasts standing up for their community and calling out B***S**** that we see as harmful to our hobby. The fact that you guys don't see this situation as dishonesty has no bearing on the fact that most of us do. I am only judging here on the measure in which I would have myself judged. A concept I think I've read about in a book somewhere 🤔...Perhaps Hoback could remind us.

Because those dealers are *pissed* and if he had really lied to them, I'm 100% sure they would have said so in their first sentence instead of saying that they just assumed the knives were made in the US.
So.... if hoback labeled his knives like the law states would we be having this conversation?

Why would they share a private stance that they'll be following up with Jake on, on a public forum? Seriously, your critical thinking skills are hot garbage.

You think they would do that when they've almost certainly retained counsel to explore legal options and would do so on an open forum? Remind me not to hire you.
