Who still carries a Case Knife?

I always drop my little peanut(stag)in my left front pocket. My main blade is clipped in my right pocket(flavor of the week). Usually a cct in my back left pocket. Peanut comes in quite handy for little random task where a big blade isn't necessary.

One I am quite fond of

With Summer finally starting to wrap up, I will start carrying carbon blades again. I have a couple of old carbon work horses that will be in the rotation, but this one for sure:

It's about a '69 model, and it is the type of knife that just screams for me to take it to the job site. It's a heckuva work knife.

I'm in search for a new Texas Jack. Do they still make a 6292 CV? I like the scales on that one.

I own one and would like to find a few more, but have seen none newer than made in the 1980's - it would be a good model choice for Case to take out of the "vault" and resume production. OH

Long time Case user here. 35 years to be exact. My Case of choice is either the Hawkbill (work) or the Copperlock although I have every config and handle material you can get. One Case knife im really enjoying right now is my single blade Sowbelly. Imo totally on par with any of my G.E.Cs.

Love my case knives. These are the most special for a variety of reasons.

Thanks for the info. There seems to be a handful of these knives in very good to never used condition but I'm just not willing to pay over $100 for one. I'll take my chances and hopefully one day Case will come out with another run of these.

I think im in the minority here prefering one of cases locking folders. I edc a case copperlock in amber bone, and a little less frequently, a cheetah in harvest orange. I also have a trapper my brother gave me and the spey blade comes in handier more than i thought it would.

I always carry a case peanut. Sometimes a medium stockman. Maybe the latter will get carried more when i receive a nice ksf mainstreet sheath that i got in a trade.

Ive been really looking into getting a Case knife. I've had them before, but always gave them away or sold them.

Really been spoiled by GEC lately so have been in that groove.

Got a couple in the sights right now, would really like something from the 60s or 70s.

Don't really know too much about case knives, what do the diehards consider the best era? 1920s-60s?

Best era are the bose collaborations, regular and limited production. You're not a full American knife nut if you don't have at least one case, schrade and camillus :). I have 5 case, all made in the 21st century and i carry every one...but not all at once

ack!
i have case's
i have a couple shrades
i dont yet have a camillus (and i was born and raised in NY)

then again, camillus shut down before i got into knives!

I have a yellow Sodbuster Jr that had been my only knife for over two years. I've been carrying a modern folder on the weekends, but the SBJ is still my everyday 9-5 knife.

With Camillus knives you could have one and not even know it! Buck, Ulster, Schrade, Case, Remington, and many others had knives made for them by Camillus. OH

while i am pretty sure all my case and bucks are too new to be camillus, you could be right and i would never know :p

I know the history behind the two yella's --when did you sneak the small congress in?
George

George,
I've really been enjoying my Case knives so much I wanted to add another one to my small collection. Searched for a long time for one with a sheepsfoot and happened upon this one a few weeks ago. The bone was fantastic and the ease of pocket carry made it a no brainer. Loving it.
Hope you are well.
Jennifer
