I doubt we will ever agree on that # , my guess at best 60% , but that is an average guess for the general concealed carriers who don't practice , each person's % increases with more training , but I think personally the best one could ever achieve is 85-90%.

Good on ya for training like you do. Week hand is where I need the most practice.
I find it interesting to see the people who carry a concealed handgun for the first year ( I went thru about 12+ holsters in my first year till I found what works for me *Alessi* ).

I'm a little late in this post, but the Knives are tools thing is a little old. Tools as much as a gun is a "Tool" to Hunt or for self defence. one of the only knives thats Really a "Tool" Might be a sninner. Not the Knives that any of us collect. Not Busse or Strider,Emerson or even Cold Steel. I've built over 500 houses and I NEVER once used any knife like that for anything. Open a Box With a Box Cutter. "Batton" with a Hatchet. Open mail with a letter opener. Get a Leatherman. Com'on. They are concealable weapons plain and simple. Modern day short swords if you will. And anyone that doubts thier Value in Self Defence lives in wonderland. How can something that weighs 4 ounces or less and nobody can see, that can sever limbs and tendons. Rip a throat out or peirce and stop a heart with one strike have no or "Limited" Value in Self defence. Why do Cops shoot people waving a knife at them? Is a Benchmade 710 a "Tool". I say it's a great tool for Destroying a human body, and Yes, I can also make a penut butter and jelly sandwitch with it,LOL. Just ask your self why do Cops SHOOT people that pull knives on them? Besause they don't want to die???HMMMM I guess I'm Just an Old fashioned Kali Guy. To each his own I guess. anyway OP, Lynn Thompson is a turd. Search and see.

What about a scalpel used by a surgeon to perform surgery that will save your life. What about a knife used by a policeman to cut your seatbelt, to free you from your motor vehicle, when it has rolled over and is about to catch fire. How about a fisherman who gets caught in netting and is close to drowning, but manages to cut himself free. Ask these people if the knife that saved their life is a weapon.

while imho cold steels folders are not the best they do make some pretty good FB's for the $$, and the folders arent bad just a little long in tooth (most of 'em) and a lot have FRN handles which i dont care for, imho lynn is kinda like TO on the cowboys, he loves controversy imho and encourages a lot of it,

I have never looked into the politics in the world of knives but I keep seeing little comments here and there about Cold Steel's owner.

To me Cold Steel knives are fantastic

Cold Steel has some very good knives. I have a Trailmaster. I would like a Sisu too. I like the video where Lynn Thompson sticks a tanto thru the hood of a car. It is a pretty good video.

As for "Mall Ninjas", that's the crap that's sold at Wal-mart for $10.95 on the Sporting Goods counter. If Cold Steel is bad, why hasn't anyone made a video of their own to prove their knives are stronger? Actions speak louder than words and all I ever hear is words with NOTHING to back it up.
