Something to keep in mind is that with proper geometry, you need very little spring force.
The geometry does the locking, the spring just put's the lock in place.
From what I've seen on the forum CM's fee would probably be very reasonable. However, with that said, you should do some research on his work beforehand. There are many examples of it on the forum.
I’m not exactly sure why someone would purchase this knife with the initial expectation that they’re going to modify it without having seen or held the final product. If you’re going to spend what I presume would be a decent amount of money on a custom knife then why not have someone design precisely what you want on the front-end as opposed to having a third party involved with this one? If you go this route I can only imagine that you’ll not only void the impressive warranty that WW has offered but you may also offend the man in the process. Finally, in regards to public forum etiquette, you may want to continue this particular conversation via PM as to not clutter the OP thread.
I can’t wait to get some updated pics/info on this project.

i am sorry to all for my rudeness please forgive me and thank you for pointing out my fault
i meant no disrespect to the OP however i asked if he could do a waved version and i was offered the conversion before the OP could answer
once again i meant no disrespect
i would also like to avoid thread jacking so i am sorry for that too
just looked back and saw that custom packaging and i have to say that i am VERY impressed
is the seal looking dealio an actual wax/plastic seal and if it is will it possibly fall off with opening and closing
That's really long, you could easily move it forward a fair amount.
You are looking at roughly 3.6' to the bend point.
Quite a long bar.
Anything over 3" is excessive, even 3" is really long.
I have a couple of models with 5" blades, and the next time I make them, I am going to drop from 3" locks to closer to 2-1/2"
Lockup is nicer when your lock swings a tighter arc.
Something to keep in mind is that with proper geometry, you need very little spring force.
The geometry does the locking, the spring just put's the lock in place.
I personally shoot for enough spring to make the detent nice, but not much more.
Too much, and just breaking the detent free, to open the knife, can be a bear.
Carbidizers are a Godsend for Titanium framelocks BTW.
If you have the $$ and plan on making many folders, don't hesitate.
I just went back and actually looked at the thread a bit, and that packaging is great.
Gives me some ideas for when I get a laser...
Hopefully I am on the list of 15?
Congrats on the new title. Love the logo.
Any update on the beast?
Sorry for the delay fellas. Georgia has been getting some nasty storms lately and I have been forced to do some repairs around the house/shop to keep any flooding from the summer rains under control. I'll be back in action with updates very soon!
