And honestly I could not be happier about this post look at all the views it got if i saved one person from going through what I went through fine by me!!

and from the get go I have said just send me a pic of it and I will be good I just want to see the scratch. What is wrong with that? But no matter what no one can say these guys sell all up to par stuff the first knife they sold me was not centered and the owner said when i brought it back"honestly it does not affect the knife if it is not center it is just a astehtic thing"

Shot the dealer an email telling them about this , interested to hear their response.

I'm not..... this guy is all over the place. At first the knife never left it's bag and then he had it out for however long and back in the bag it went. 1 of 2 things happened. Either he didn't inspect the knife fully out of excitement before purchasing, or the scratch that the dealer is claiming was caused by him playing with the knife. Here's the kicker to this whole mess...... it's just a knife. Take whatever lesson you feel you have learned from this and move on, because it's not the end of the world. Many positive responses toward this business and his one negative tell more of a the story(which seemed to change a few times).

here is the lesson I have taken away from this story, and take it how you wish as I have no clue your financial situation and don't plan to judge you on it either...... we all come from different walks of life here in this forum. If your freaking out over a custom knife..... maybe take a step back and start with productions if your new to this. It's much easier to deal with a production being damaged/disliked that it is a custom piece. Read your dealers policy on returns/exchanges. Finally, inspect the knife before you buy in store or upon delivery from a dealer.

If you think your freaking out about this....... I once bought a 2,200 custom from a VERY reputable dealer only to receive it with a crack through the blade. He made it right(dealer), and after 6 months of dealing with a non responsive maker who basically only wrote me back to say he received it. Also, with customs.... if you use and damage them... be prepared for a possible LENGTHY time of the knife being fixed by the maker as they are generally one man operations....think 6 months or more.

Agreed good stuff positive post. Good last post to read. And yes in the end i only have myself to blame I will own it. But it does not mean I can't vent say what I got to say and be done.

Custom knives are easy to lose your ass on. Like I said I have a grail that people would kill to own got some crazy offers for it too. Like I said my ring and the zipper scuffed the TI a bit and you'd think it was yesterday's newspaper . Sure the maker could refinish it but still it's a pain that his pouch he sold it on scuffed it up you know .

I was going to sell it and some custom dealers wanted pics and they didn't even see the scuffs ,nor did I . Once I pointed them out in the pics some were no longer interested others offered me about a quarter of the value of the knife .

Also with customs it's best to let the makers do all the work on them off center blades, scuffs etc let them handle it .

I will say this about blade gallery I wanted a knife and hawk combo off their site. They went through their inventory and found me pristine models with matching handles of both the hawk and knife and sent them both out as soon as the payment cleared via FedEx .

I was about to pull trigger on another custom . Blade gallery asked me to contact the maker of that blade. Maker informed me that the blade I was looking at had had a lot if problems and they were pulling the models they could find and they suggest I pass on it . So blade gallery gave up a 360 sale .

I think it's shady to post a picture of a different knife and ask if anyone sees a scratch to prove your point. Would you have owned up to that if everyone said they didn't see one? Based upon the "never took the knife out of the pouch" to "flipped it for a half hour" change in your story I highly doubt it. I have no dog in the fight, just my 2 cents.

I think it's shady to claim a knife never left it's pouch, so there's no way the OP could have scratched it, then later admit that it cam out of the pouch and was flipped "like thirty times".

I can't imagine a scratch happening during thirty different flips to open, then handling to close.
To put some icing on that cake, is there any chance the mfgr. doesn't recommend flipping?

Looks like the knife rides on bearings if you look close enough

OMG!! Thank you for saying that this was actually the first Knife that was not centered I took the pic right after i left the store ....

So the picture you showed, of the knife that doesn't have a scratch...the one that never left the pouch, but you so nehow managed to flip about 30 times....isnt that knife. It's the off-center knife.

This story gets better and better each time you twist it.

Cjw, thanks for the pm threatening me, and asking me to come fight you. I think the mods will get a kick outta that one;)

The dealer let you get away with returning a knife the first time that you had plenty of opportunity to inspect before it left the store with you. You never said anything about blade centering until you got home.

Then you try to return the second knife and they bang you with a charge. Well, you've admitted the knife was used by flipping it a bunch of times in your car, who knows how many times it happened in the store.

Look at this from the Dealer's side. If they let every customer be so willy nilly on purchases and just take every knife back after it left the store, eventually they'd have nothing but used knives to sell.

Next time you make a purchase, make damn sure that the knife is perfect and it's exactly what you want before dropping that kind of cash. As of now, you're just wasting the Dealer's time and your own. You couldn't see the scratch in person (or so you say) but you're demanding pictures. The Dealer isn't responding because he doesn't want to deal with you anymore. I don't blame him!

Ok yes clown I miss spoke I should have said got the knife got it out of the case in my car played with it for 3 min then put it back in the case and never touched it again. Sorry wish I could go to my first post and edit it for you. The point is the so called scuff on that picture I posted looked just like the knife I returned . I kindly asked the owner to send me a pic of it so I could see it again and told him if he did it would be piece of mind and I would leave it alone. He said well it prob won't even show up on the phone so I don't want to do it. Anyways if you want to dissect every little thing and not get the point of the whole situation I can't help you.

Sure, you can blame yourself, but you still leave this cockamamie claim about Blade Gallery floating on the forum. So you blame them anyway.

Lol . OP look your flip flopping . Could you maybe of dropped the knife and got all pissy cause you just dropped your brand new knife now you cause a fuss thinking it will get you somewhere ? Lying threatening members, smarting off to those trying to help you. Sorry nobody took up arms with you to burn the dealer to the ground but no need to get violent about it .

The picture you posted. WHAT KNIFE IS IT? You said it was the one you flipped. Then you said it was the off center one. Now you are back to saying it is the one you flipped!?!

You are basing a statement that damages that company's reputation on a story full of holes, lies, and flip flops.

Unacceptable.

He thinks I'm the "kid" that sold him the knife, and he wants to meet up and fight me:rolleyes:

What kid? This is utter nonsense.

May I suggest this thread be moved offline? I have never had any dealings with Blade Gallery, but I'm sure tybeir reputation doesn't need this baseless accusation floating about
