My SAK has a toothpick just for those occasions. In SE Asia using a toothpick at the table is pretty much normal everywhere.![]()
I can honestly say I’ve never had anyone comment on me using my own knife or chopsticks in a restaurant
than again I don’t stand up and announce that I am about to use my own knife
I ate my meal discreetly wiped my blade off with my napkin and put it back in my jacket pocket
not a big deal
