Yep - worse than Lay's Potato Chips

The stamped BK15 arrived today. So glad I was able to snag one from Ka-Bar because this one is perfect.

Hello Al, Jason, Marco and Jim - it felt good to admit my addiction.
Hey John , my 15 arrived today and perfect as well . I felt better about my addiction too .

Hopefully Kabar is done cleaning house . Or I should say I hope I'am late to the party . Yea right !

I'm hoping they find a few stamped BK7s - heck I just realized I need a stamped BK2 too; not sure how I forgot about one.

Yep, my pockets will be lighter, but the Becker shelf will be full. I don't know why, but I need them now.

This stamped vs. etched / disco vs. reintro / ebay vs. swapmeet phenomenon only fuels my hoarding tendencies, and reinforces my convictions that squirrelling away extra goodies is just smart money................assuming I have any after the dust settles!

My 4yr old son has NO idea the loot he'll inherit someday. If he doesn't share my tastes in gear and toys, he'll be able to host an epic yard sale, or be the most visited Ebay seller in years.

For me, being a guy with too many knives, and a little obsessed with earliers becker's blades ,is quite disappointing that my only child(a beautiful little girl ) in not even a bit interested in those, been thinking lately who is gonna be the lucky one to pass on all my toys, is going to be such a treasure [emoji3]

Well, that's too bad Kent...my daughters 12 going on 18 and has a love and respect for knives. She has her own BK5 and SAK, then she bought herself a Remora. It all started when I bought her a Ka-Bar short Tanto to carry for stranger danger at a camp out. Then she inherited a USMC Corpsmen bolo machete. Shortly after, we attended our first Beckerhead gathering where she picked up the 5 and a 16. She's had a bit of encouragement... Guess I'm lucky!

Very lucky, indeed !!!

Only took 2 days before I broke a "rule" a set on myself after my last buy.

Swore to only buy stamped Ka-Bars, but now I just acquired a NIB BK1 Brute (Thank you Steve). I just couldn't say "No".

Saw that on the exchange. Congrats.

Thank you sir. I tried to resist, but after 45 minutes I gave in to temptation.

He had a 21 for sale earlier as well. I updated my PP sp I could get it, but was a half hour late. I pm'd him for second dibs, but it was sold. SO, I ordered a new one, haha, He asked me if I was interested in the Brute, but I already have one. That one looks like it has LMFJoe scales on it.

I was looking at the BK21 earlier as well and was going to pull the trigger, but something told me to hold off. You passing on the BK1 was that something - Thank you for not getting greedy.

Thanks for the handle info.

I thought that was a good price for the 1, especially since it had the extra scales with it. I stripped mine. Be careful if you do. The 0170-6 seems to rust easier than the 1095CV:

Thanks for the heads up on the rusting. That is a nice photo of a naked BK1.

Thanks man. I was really surprised when I discovered the rust. I felt it was in a nice, dry place. Here it is with the rust. Part of the streaks in the first photo are from batoning, and not actually rust:
