Yep - worse than Lay's Potato Chips

I agree on the BK4 - it has grown on me with every use. The BK21 has peaked my interest, but I told myself that the next big Becker I buy has to be a BK6 - trying to have some control over my recent addiction.

Seriously? That is like saying you're going to stop drinking beer......and start drinking Dom Perignon. Pick something a little more difficult to find & expensive, why don't you.

On a practical note: I've handled the Patrol Machete - and stopped looking for one. It's a cool piece of Ethan's history, but.....I'd rather have 2 BK21's than a 6. Needless to say, this is IMO....and I'm sure that this will in no way affect your decision making process.

I figured it would slow me down a bit, but your thoughts have me conflicted.

I might just have to reconsider the BK6 - I appreciate the first hand knowledge.

Well the stamped BK2 arrived today and it is sweet. I have been so occupied by the large blades that I have not used by BK22 in a while; I forgot how small and versatile it was. Just pulling out of the box reminded me of the first time all over again - the BK22 being my first.

I am now at a point where every Becker I own (minus the BK1) has a stamped "back-up" - BK2s, BK4s, BK5s (both stamped), BK9s and the BK15s. Feels like winning a small victory of sorts.

Anyone know if KA-BAR sells sets of hardware for the handles?

Gah, due to some miscommunication my Cam BK7 didn't get shipped...suppose to ship today with a freebie tossed in but haven't heard anything yet and don't feel like hounding the guy...sigh...
First world problems heh

Alright! Got a tracking number! See, all it takes is a little whining...lol

Glad I didn't send a message and all that.

Looks like aa stamped BK3 is headed my way in December. I never even planned on searching for a stamped version since I doubt I will ever buy a "user". But could not resist the stamped version.

Did the CAM BK7 arrive?[SUB][SUB][/SUB][/SUB]

Well, I added another to the collection. A recent post showed 2 different locations for the logo stamp on a BK9 - one stamp closer to the handle - and it got me looking at mine. My current smooth coat BK9 had the stamp close to the handle. I lucked out and scored a smooth coated BK9 last night just before the offer ended. So know I have both "versions" of the BK9s.

And the BK3 should be here early next week.

Ahh yeah it did...forgot about this thread...its lovely and man can it take an edge... One of the sharpest I own!

Already a few minor mods. Smoothed the coating, exposed the grind edges, lowered and softened the swedge.

Thanks guys! I got it in a trade. Never really figured on getting a 7 but now I'm glad I did and highly recommend one. It was slightly used which I prefer for modding. The scales were mine. Cant decide to strip or not.

If you are into modding your blade,i'll recommend strip the coating and a ligh polish could be a good choice, not talking of a mirror finish, since when we do that always end getting a back up and so on,i would post some pics from my 7 to show the slight modds i made but i still struggling with my new phone [emoji12]

Wow - USPS just delivered my BK3 on a Sunday morning. Was not expecting that.

What an interesting blade the BK3 is - not sure when I will use it, but I have it if I ever need it.

Another Becker arrived today - a NIB stamped BK9; my second stamped, but 3rd BK9. Now I have both stamped "versions".

Just found out that there were etched BK5s, so the hunt continues.

I have a 2,9,10,11 and i was thinking of ordering the schrade leroy and jethro to go with the schf28 lil ricky i purchased. Any thoughts...

I only have one Schrade - the SCHF9 that I bought a few years ago. It came dull with totally uneven grinds and I could only manage to get a nice edge on part of the blade. I tend to lend it out when some asks to borrow a knife. If it was sharp with even grinds - which mine is not - it would be a decent knife.

I cannot comment on the knives you mentioned (just learned they even exist), but you do have a nice selection of Beckers.

Seems you have a really nice combination of beckers, but concerning to the schrades that you have i believe you should look up in a different forum, this one is pretty much Beckers knives related.I'll help u if i could but i have limited knowledge on those, regards.!!!

I understand. Yeah i love the beckers the more you fondle them the more you want. Its becoming an addiction. Wish i could buy them all and mod all them but i have about 40 or so knives now and i really like all of them.

This darn Becker bug - could not say "No" to a NIB Cam BK5, so one is headed my way. That makes 13 in my first year of infection..... and there are still a few days left.

Every time I get a chance to use one, it immediately justifies any future purchase.
