You can only have 1 EDC for the rest of you life, what would it be?

Won't have this knife tell May of this year but it's the one that comes to mind when I think of this situation. The Round Head Euro Barlow by Lionsteel. Can't wait to get this knife. Hope that counts even though I don't have it yet lol. :p

I find that I carry a Benchmade 531 or a US made Kershaw Zing more than anything else I own. I guess one of those two.

But, what am I going to do when the arthritis flares up in my old age?

Reason is that it can serve my hunting purposes and strong enough for some light bush-craft while not too offensive if carrying it among the Aussie sheeple.

Beautiful knife. What is the scale material?

I go with the SAK crowd, a Pioneer would be just fine.

Espada de conchas, aka boca de caballo, but properly known as the Spanish 1728 cavalry trooper's pattern. Perfect for cutting down infantrymen and opening bags of chips.

As others have stated it would be a fixed blade. Less to go wrong. Can flex it into almost any role. My Carothers EDC would be choice. Tough, small enough, and well built. It's in my carry rotation already as I would have no problem carrying this guy exclusively.

One and only one? A multitool, the rebar most likely

if MTs are not included, then a SAK like the Minichamp,

if SAKs are a no-no as well, then my EDC folder would be the Spyderco Pacific Salt...over all these I have

A bit off topic but could you tell me more about the container?

It would be my Seamus Knives Irish Uber Crossover. This is THE knife for me.

Great another brand I've never heard of that now I'll need to look into. :)

Mine right now would most likely be my lowly Griptillian. I've had it for about three years and it just always does what I need.

That's beautiful. A Fallkniven folder has been on wishlist for about 9 years but haven't bought one yet.

Well, I had my EDC until somewhat recently...a Schrade USA Old Timer Sharpfinger. That knife has been a workhorse for me for many years, outlasting anything that I thought could replace it. I had altered the sheath to match my needs, adding a spring steel clip to the back so I could carry it discretely. My only reason for that is that carrying a sheath knife generally garners odd looks and questions from people I'd rather not even talk to. The new Old Timer is SS instead of a carbon steel, and many of the minor details I liked about mine are washed away with the new batch.

I'll eventually find a replacement that is in the price range I'm willing to pay.

Seamus Knives is a custom knife maker.
