Your Favorites of 2008?

man that Knight chopper kicks ass.

Charly Bennica. I think this is the only Butt Cap Lock folder in tort that was not a disassembling model. He still machine turned (jeweled) the inside of the scales...cool!

Bought from our own Dave Ellis who was really patient with me. Thanks to Michael Donato for helping me sell a few other pieces to afford this beauty. Thanks to Rob at Balance Digital for taking this photo for Dave:

Harkins Triton with Rados Ladder Damascus blade and frame...ever seen the inside of one of these bad boys! Jeff is super talented.

My only custom bought this year:
Ken Erickson 3.5 EDC ( been in my pocket since day 1 )

Since it was my only custom bought this year it easily makes it my fav , but the buying experience and dealing with Ken , makes it definitely in my top 3 fav purchases of all time.

That Dave Kelly posted earlier ( forgot by who ) is way sweet , really love Dave's work.

Enoreeriver - thanks for posting that pic. I had never seen such a knife open.

Personally, I think those threads are really useful if people follow the guidelines, and post one or two pictures. If you post 5 or 6, it looses all meaning. It's still nice to look at, but it's useless.

With this said, my 2 favorite purchases for the year are:

Don Fogg "Midline crisis" dagger

Wolfe Loerchner small dagger
(There were several other contestants for the #2 spot, but since I have to choose one...)

Great thread! I don't think I could pick one or even two favorites out of so many awesome knives.

Pleasure seeing them:D

I don't see where it was requested that responses be limited to one or two knives  :

Well Thanksgiving's next week indicating 2008 will soon be coming to a close.

Though there's mixed feelings as to how 2008 has fared from a financial perspective I doubt that anyone will disagree we've seen some outstanding
custom knives produced this year. So lets look towards the more positive aspects of custom knives for 2008.

Collectors, show us your favorites that you added to your collections this year.

Makers, show us your personnel favorites that you made this year.

I will start with my two favorites for 2008:.....

As always, thank you for your participation.

Kevin chose to show two of his - he didn't ask that this be an upper limit. Personally, if someone bought 20 knives in '08 and wants to show the 5 or 6 that rank as their favourites, I'm happy to see them and grateful that they took the time to share.

Roger

and to take it another step further, if said person wanted to post all 20 of those knives, you won't find me complaining:)

Ive had a very busy year and havent made as many as i'd hoped, but here are the three favorite knives I made this year.

First a little one:

David - I think that chopper is just too cool and that stag bowie is just gorgeous.

Glad to see some makers posting their knives as I know it's hard to pick a favorite among your children. ;) :D :)
