What an awesome thread! There are so many jaw dropping beautiful pieces here I wouldn't know where to start picking my favorites!

Here's a few pieces I received this year. I'd be hard pressed to choose between them, partly because they are all quite different. I've used them all except the hunter.

The Shawn McIntyre MS Test Hunter with a Rowe sheath.

A Burt Foster Cleaver

A David Winston framelock (3' blade) set up with clips for tip-up or tip-down carry

And a Todd Davison slipjoint

...and this piece from Bailey Bradshaw...

....this stunner from my buddy, Jim Smyth....

...one from another good friend, Kit Carson...

...a MASSIVE flipper from another pal, Michael Burch...

...being an avid bali-song fan, these came from Baliballistic, a relatively new maker and are as nice as any...

... a pair of Vorpal's from one of my favorite makers, Tom Maringer...

...and a very special piece from a special friend, Jody Samson, 1 of 5 Wee Hawk boot-knives he made this year and are the first he's made in almost 30 years...

I'm convinced that we just can't make up our minds as to which knives in our collections are our favorites.

This year my collection has been somewhat neglected in terms of new additions... but that just makes it easier to choose favorites

The Ken Onion forum bump -- EDC for life. No pic, but you guys know what it looks like!

Fixed:
Bob Lum tanto with an 8" blade and beautiful stag -- One of the greatest designs from one of the greatest makers IMO.

I've been a fan of Jens' work for years and own several of his fixed blade models but this is my first example of his folder art.

Anso Rock Lobster with textured titanium bolsters and G10 panels:

Picked it up in trade earlier this year. Best snag ever.

I agree with Joe that this has been a great thread.

I'll add one more oldie that I got this year, it's a Hugh Bartrug Damascus Hunter with a mokume collar and mokume, amber and carved buffalo horn handle.

OK, so this has to be knives you purchased? Whew! I'm off the hook....

First off, the collections being shown are wonderful. Murray and Dudley, you guys are killer.

I have had a slow purchasing year. The short-term acquisition itch gets scratched fairly often in my studio....

Still, I got a few this year. This one listed on BF for sale...

Easy come, easy go. I could not hold onto this for long. It was a pleasure while I did, though. :thumbup:

Lastly, in 2008 I purchased (2) G&G Hawk knives which have yet to get into the lights. In time...
