Thanks Barrett, I am tickled to have it. It's solid with no play, centered in the wells, flush closed, half stop and open and a ton of characterFantastic character on that old Schrade Barlow, Paul!![]()

I’ve been slightly obsessed with these little knives ever sincer8shell got me with her infamous What-A-Knife/Whataburger thread. (In my defense, I came across the thread months after it had been posted, and didn’t realize it was originally from April 1st.)
Since then, I’ve acquired several with the caplifter secondary, which seems to be the most common variant, but this is the first time I’ve been able to get ahold of one with the pen blade secondary, and it just so happened that I got two of ‘em.

The knife on the left appears to be like-new with factory edges on both blade, while the other knife has been sharpened but is still in good shape. It also looks like someone filled in the letters with something black on the used knife.
There’s a third version of the What-A-Knife, very slim with a just single clip point blade. I did have one of those at one point, which I gifted to a friend. I’m sure I’ll come across another at some point.
Here’s a pic of the pen blade and caplifter secondaries together.
