Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

I’ve been wanting another Case 6345 for quite a long time. I’ve been looking at this particular model for several years and thanks to some occasional pictures and comments by jlhoffman74 jlhoffman74 I finally jumped off the fence.

Thanks, Jeff!

Cool knife, Rick. That bone jigging looks to be first rate. Enjoyed carrying my new Half Whittler today!IMG_1930.jpeg

Arrived here super fast  Left Knoxville 30 Oct, here 4th Nov  Fed X Finland may have a website that baffles anybody but a corporation but I mastered them and carried out my own customs' clearance since the X is eager to charge a fat fee for this uh uh!

Not only fast delivery but a minty fresh knife that only left the factory 17 Oct  Absolutely delighted with it too with NO build faults at all. Flush spring, no gaps, no play. Very exact construction, spring cut off cleanly , properly radiused. Was sharp on arrival but was tuned it on the diamonds now it's a devil. It also has a very pointy tip which some people have been disappointed by. CASE must be listening. I like the nail cut out Scagel style as it works well on a single blade and facilitates opening. It's strongly sprung too which I prefer and very loud talk :) Think I know when I handle a very good knife and this is it, the white liners are a great addition. Oddly, not usually a fan of Blue knives but this works and works well.

Thanks,

Will

Your welcome! 😁 I think it's such a great pattern, it's similar in size to the Camillus #14 frame, it's a great size for a pocket knife. It looks like yours is more of a green in it than mine, the one I have is more of a brown but it's still an enjoyable knife to carry.

Lovely Will Power Will Power ………Levi’s Micarta 👍🏻

Had a maker here in UK make me a drop-point hunter from my own Levi’s
Many thanks Paul  Really pleased with it and the steel seems fantastic .

You seem to be reeling in some very choice catches lately  The Nortwoods is outstanding but that oldster Sportsman's knife you're showing in another thread is really something.

I also have a 6345 from the Tested era and I notice a couple of minor differences in this 1987 model.

The 1987 model has wider backsprings which make it a thicker knife overall. It also has more defined edges on the bolsters which make it feel a bit more “square” in comparison. The bolsters on the Tested era model are rounded in every direction.

I like both of those features on this 1987 model. It’s great to have finally gotten one. I lubed the joints and touched up the edges this morning. I plan to take it on its maiden voyage tomorrow on my delivery route. I’ll post another pic in the EDC thread when I stop somewhere long enough to take a picture. Should be interesting to see how well the green shows up in different lighting. Mine does look brown in certain lighting conditions.

My second Buck just arrived, it's the 112, a little big for my standard, but I like it a lot.

I've had a safe-queen 885UH for about 6 years now, a pretty low serial numbered Schrade Walden complete with box, papers and sleeve, #30337. Been looking for a user one for a while now and finally snagged one for a decent price off the Bay. Identical to the first one, with the same swedge and edges, all tang stamps, etc. Even the serial numbers were only a few thousand apart, with the newer one #34955, both made in 1971. The new one has a 8-9 pull on the clip main and the sheepfoot is a little lazy closing, plus it's lost the head off one of the cover pins on the mark side, but it'll do for a user. It has a slightly darker tint to the covers, no sleeve for the box, and the good ol' 440A stainless still takes a great edge.

Glad it arrived and you got a good one and like it.   🤠

This one just landed. Sheephorn scales and Chevron Damascus from Shayne Carter. Shayne's beautiful Chevron Damascus is particularly well-suited to this one, I think -- it almost gives the impression that the striations on the handle have continued on up the length of the blade...
