The new Case sowbelly I ordered was sadly disappointing so returned it. I soothed my disappointment by grabbing this cool S&M stag scout knife. Thanks Choppaman Choppaman View attachment 3029570
That's really a much better knife than anything Case has put out lately. Apparently my 8 year boycott hasn't improved their quality control and neither will your return. As a longtime Case collector of old and newer knives, I never thought that I'd see them go this far downhill with quality issues that seem pretty fixable, at least to me.

This one just landed. Sheephorn scales and Chevron Damascus from Shayne Carter. Shayne's beautiful Chevron Damascus is particularly well-suited to this one, I think -- it almost gives the impression that the striations on the handle have continued on up the length of the blade...

I obviously need to learn more about Shayne Carter’s work!

Harry, what’s cool is I recently picked up one of these that has lovely stag covers that look totally different. The magic of quality organic materials…
That is one of the reasons I like Stag so much . So much variations in Stag . I watched mine for at least 2 weeks before I made the decision on it . I saw a lot of nice Stag that was available at decent prices before I made up my mind . I have another 1981 that is totally different . I would hope that you show your's soon my friend .

Tractor Supply clearance strikes again!

I remembered the bucket I usually use to brine a turkey had cracked, so last night I went to order a food safe one at Tractor Supply to pickup on the way to work.

I just had to search for Case knives too see if they had any left (I grabbed a few different knives at 50% off some months back).

I just couldn't pass up.this synthetic mini trapper for $14.99. It must have been the display, no box, a couple scratches on the bolster, but everything is flush, tight and centered. The spey blade is about as sharp as a Nerf football, so I'll have to work on that when I get home 😂.
