Thanks Ed.It's a three blade I*XL Wostenholm "Gunboat" Canoe with red jigged bone handles. Looking through LVG4, I found that a Gunboat Canoe was also considered an Equal End Cattle knife - who'd a thunk it.

He really does. Love how thin behind the edge it is and how much sharpening life heโs built in with the sharpening choil.Grayson makes an awesome Zulu spear, congrats and enjoy!
Very cool, Ed! Mine has similar / identical canoe frame but main blade and two smaller secondary blades are all drop points.jmh33 It's a three blade I*XL Wostenholm "Gunboat" Canoe with red jigged bone handles. Iโm biased but I do think he is one of the best makers in the traditional knife making game.He really does. Love how thin behind the edge it is and how much sharpening life heโs built in with the sharpening choil.
65 hrc Magnacut as well!
Not to at all undersell the finishing work and the absolutely amazing walk and talk heโs done on this either. Genuinely a useful work or art!
It certainly is. And I cannot understate how perfectly ground this blade is. Best I can measure, the thickness behind the edge is .005โ from .120โ stock. Genuinely hard to get a good measurement because of how thin it is, but it keeps that measurement all the way from tip to heel!Beautiful knife, Charr, and the MagnaCut at 65 is even more icing on the cake. You could carry that one in any situation and not be under-knifed.
I genuinely believe you are right. I fell in love with his work back when he used to sell pieces here. When I decided to have a knife made that could hopefully last as something to pass on to my kids (hopefully) way down the line, I couldnโt think of anyone better. I know it gets tough with the big dogs of traditional making, but heโs punching up there for sure.Iโm biased but I do think he is one of the best makers in the traditional knife making game.

Thatโs a beaut, Ed.Arrived Tuesday (day before yesterday: Case 53131 SS 9-Dot (1981) Gunboat Canoe.
