Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

Was gifted an old tackle box from a friend who obviously never fished much. Inside was a bunch of new old stock lures and tackle, some other random stuff people at the sporting goods store obviously talked him into buying, and this Marttinni filet knife that has never been used. The sheath is super dry from baking in the bottom of the box for however many years but the blade is immaculate and factory sharp AF. IMG_5623.jpeg

Not necessarily.
Lures and other fishing accessories are designed, finished, and packaged to catch fishermen. 🀨

Not surprising the Rapala fillet knife is sharp.
From elementary school to my mid/late 30's I had a 5" bladed Rapala Fillet knife. (plenty long enough for crappie, bluegill/sunfish, bullheads, 1-3 pound catfish, and the occasional bass, walleye, and garr. I pulled out of the Iowa side of the Mississippi River.)
Sadly, it was stolen along with my tackle box and all my rods and reels.

Yes sir. Sorry to hear about the theft. I have a similar story with my first (and only) set of golf clubs. Stolen when I was a relatively young man. Which put me on a course of fishing instead of golf for the rest of my life.

Bought myself a Christmas present which just arrived; like I need another jumbo stockman! But the price was right and I like these older Queens with the 440C steel.
Action is perfect, 6 pulls with great snap.
