Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

Hi Steve,
just a quick 'snap' to oblige
The knife is designed by Knife designer Jerry Fisk and its his take on down-sizing the traditional Nessmuk Skinner into a folder sized knife.
I actually bought the knife as my way of supporting an up & coming local engraver.
I haven't actually used it yet but it sure looks like it would be ideal for shinning most small game. And nice genuine Stag as well.

I always liked the look of the "Fiskmuks". Anything designed by Jerry Fisk has got to be winner. Yours is particularly nice looking. I think your local engraver did a great job on it.

Being a fan of Nessmuk and his knives as I am, this is an intriguing pattern to me! It would be a great hunting companion (and, IMO, is what the GEC Cotton Sampler should have been instead.)

Off to google to see if I can find one...thanks for the pic!

Spare Winnie Moose arrived today......it's bone is a tad lighter than my EDC.

Into the dark recesses of the collection box! :D

Thanks Brumby ...thought it might be a Nessmuk blade....now I have to look up fishmuk. and indeed the engraver did a great job.

I've never seen a knife quite like this! I like it. Thanks for sharing the open photo.

My first Stockman arrived today, a Case Medium cigar Stockman in dark red bone with deep canyon jigging:

The style of jigging necessitates wide bone at the center of the knife, which gives it some nice girth for such a light knife (just 2 oz.). I'm a fan of interesting bolsters, so I like that it has an engraved bolster.

Just got my first Morakniv knife, it is a Companion HD. I like it very much, I always have liked Swiss made knives of all kinds.

Any day you get a new knife is a good day! Let's merge this one with a long running thread that exists to show off our new traditional knives.

Picked up yesterday on my road trip to NW Arkansas. A Ka-Bar Coppersmith Barlow and an A.G. Russell Lockback Barlow.

I've waited a long time to find a Queen #9 in their bird's eye maple that had the kind of color and figure I like, and finally succeeded.

The color in the photos is pretty spot on, with the mark side being a pure gray, and the pile with just a little rose tint to the gray. The pile side is especially beautiful in person, with great chatoyance and 6 vivid "eyes" for character. Just the slightest gap in the liner/spring for about half a centimeter, but the covers are beautifully rounded and smooth, and the blades came sharp. The clip main would roll hair off my forearm! Considering everything, including the excellent D2 steel, this is a VERY nice stockman.

Jeff, you gotta love it when a knife comes hair popping especially on one that you have waited on getting for sometime. A real beauty as well! Congrats!

Now, I have to go look this one up. :D
