Man, is that handsome! "Presidential" is the perfect name for the pattern, too -- it's elegant, refined, and somehow executive. I love the look of the fluted bolsters, too. Really nice.

I just purchased a Northwoods. I’m not ready yet to say which one exactly, but will hint that it’s a Willamette but not in Elephant Ivory. I didn’t plan on buying one today because I have a list of knives that I’ve committed to already and this one cost more than I anticipated to spend.

I can say this though; that it is, picture wise, the most gorgeous knife I’ve ever laid eyes on. Those other knives I have on my “to buy” list will just have to wait their turn.
If there is a thread where I think my new purchase would be appreciated, I will post a pic of this beauty. You experienced porchers, tell me so that all can be in awe like I am.
I hope I’m not being too dramatic.

It really is, Bob was telling me I would like one based on the wharnie, the sterile blade, the sunken down pen blade and of course the Dogleg curve. I'm going to guess..blue camel bone!

Definitely great of you Derrick~

Aha sorry Eric, I couldn't resist. I really like the slotted pinch opening on the scagels/people are always talking about the equal end indian river jack frame. Please do show it on the forums sometime. Just did a search but can't find a photo.

Hey Tim, search this thread for "S60V" and you'll see it...

I had a double header yesterday, but never made it to my picture-taking spot. Two Cases, Sodbuster Jr. in persimmon jigged bone on top, Baby Butterbean in autumn jigged bone on the bottom:

The Sodbuster feels like a big knife, but at 2.1 oz. and about the same physical size -- albeit with a wider blade -- than some of my other knives, it's demonstrably not a big knife. The bone is pale orange-yellow when seen edge-on, which makes the covers look like pumpkin rind to me; I like that.

The Butterbean is my lightest traditional knife at 1.5 oz., beating out my Case Teardrop and Victorinox Cadet by 0.1 oz., and it's teeny tiny. But while it's short, thanks to the two blades and the relatively wide body, it's a comfortable three-finger knife in hand. It'll disappear in shorts and dress pants.

I'm digging them both so far.

Dadpool you are on a roll! I like that persimmon color on that soddie. Still have to get one of those.
