Good luck in your search, Bill; FWIW, I think you have a good plan. I really enjoy having knives with matching covers that I can carry together. For example, I have chestnut bone Case swayback jack and Sodbuster Jr (and I NEED to get a chestnut bone CV sowbelly and/or Peanut to make an incredible trio or quartet), maple burl Remington peanut and canoe, a bunch of jigged amber bone Rough Riders in various patterns, and I'd like to get a Pioneer or Farmer to pair with my red Alox Cadet (or a silver Cadet to pair with an Electrician I have, or a black Cadet to pair with a Pioneer I have, or an olive green Cadet to pair with a Farmer I have, or ...)Sure is, thanks! I'm trying to find a Stockman or Jackknife in similar stag to pair it with.
Thanks for the follow-up, Frank. I'm a geezer with no online auction experience, so I'm not exactly sure what "sniping" is, but you sound pretty pleased with yourself!Hi 5K. I bought both specifically for this comparison.
"Sniping" is SUCH an ugly term.![]()
Whoa, that's a real looker, Mike; congrats!!:thumbup:My latest addition. I've been waiting for a 3.5" LC for awhile. This Dunlap checked all the right boxes.
Westinghouse Ivory Micarta.

Congrats on scoring a couple of sweet Schrades, Robert!!
Thanks for the reply, Ron.GT - Thanks for the compliment on the 72. No shenanigans were involved, just a honey hole!Every good fisherman knows you never divulge the location of your best honey holes.
As for the time travel, yes it is real! When I traveled from the Eastern Time Zone to the Central Time Zone my cell phone went from 3PM back to 2PM!![]()
+ 5K! :thumbup:Those are nice Boz!!
Congrats on scoring a couple of sweet Schrades, Robert!! That slender, round-bolstered one with the slim clip really calls to me!

Wow Bozack, another snakewood for you. I saw that group photo you posted in the "Sunday picture show". Sweet collection!
Fantastic looking Whittler!
Edit: just taking a better look at those scales and it seems that you have a nice burl eye centered by the secondaries, what does the other side look like?
I have to go to a gun and/or knife show one of these days...
My first whittler (first in Kingwood too) should be arriving tomorrow. Gives me another reason to look forward to my work day ending.
